Job Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a team of design professionals and other staff involved in grants and sustainability projects.
Develop informative, creative, and well-organized presentations and grant application materials related to sustainability and energy efficiency.
Oversee planning and implementation of special events to promote district sustainability goals, ensuring standards meet educational and building requirements.
Organize and participate in sustainability awareness campaigns.
Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies, service providers, non-profits, and community organizations to identify funding and develop initiatives.
Establish and maintain relationships with external organizations focused on sustainability and greening.
Assist other departments in preparing grant applications.
Manage and update the Sustainability Initiatives Unit website.
Coordinate and outreach for sustainability-related educational programs.
Organize information, create presentations, and deliver presentations as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Five (5) years of full-time paid experience managing sustainability projects or programs.
Additional experience in facilities design and architecture is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Architecture, or Marketing from a recognized college or university.
