Position: Seasonal Community Liaison with The Mustard Seed
Drive community impact as a Seasonal Community Liaison Worker with The Mustard Seed in Kamloops. This role focuses on facilitating outreach and educational programs about critical social issues.
You will work directly with diverse community members and stakeholders, promoting awareness of homelessness and poverty. Engage youth in meaningful programs, and support the organization of activities and events. This full-time position allows you to deepen your understanding of social issues while assisting with operational support for basic services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate educational programs and community engagement events
• Organize joint activities with local organizations
• Lead community workshops addressing poverty and homelessness
• Manage volunteer communications and records
• Represent The Mustard Seed within the community
Requirements:
• Strong passion for social justice and community service
• Enrollment in a related post-secondary program
• Age between 15-30 years at employment start
• Proven leadership and team collaboration skills
• Valid Driver’s License and background check required
