🌱 We're Hiring: Organic Sales Representative (Part-time / Freelance) — Chiang Mai or Bangkok
Pai Seedlings Foundation is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales rep to bring premium organic garlic from Karen smallholder farmers in northern Thailand into hotels, restaurants, and food businesses in Chiang Mai.
This is a real job with real targets, not a vague "ambassador" role.
About Us
BeLeaf is a joint brand between Pai Seedlings Foundation (มูลนิธิปายซีดลิงส์) and the Muang Noi Community Enterprise (วิสาหกิจชุมชนกลุ่มเกษตรกรปฏิรูปบ้านเมืองน้อย), a Karen smallholder farming cooperative in Pai, Mae Hong Son.
The garlic is grown and owned by the Community Enterprise. The Foundation supports market development, quality standards, and logistics — but the commercial activity and direct benefit belong to the farmers. As a registered Thai nonprofit, the Foundation's role is enabling, not trading.
We are a small team doing meaningful work — and we need someone who wants to be part of something, not just earn a commission.
What You'll Be Selling
Muang Noi Organic Garlic (BeLeaf) — grown by Karen farmers with no chemical inputs, lab-tested residue-free, and traceable to specific farming households. Available in two formats:
- Trimmed garlic — cleaned, ready-to-use. Wholesale delivery from 85–100 THB/kg depending on order volume (retail 150 THB/kg)
- Untrimmed garlic — natural bundles. Wholesale delivery from 60–68 THB/kg at volume (retail 150 THB/kg)
Premium quality at price points that work for buyers who care about provenance. Savings of 33–60% vs. retail depending on volume and format — a genuine value proposition for professional kitchens.
What You'll Do
→ Identify and approach hotels, restaurants, resorts, and food businesses in Chiang Mai and surrounding areas → Build direct relationships with purchasing managers and executive chefs → Present BeLeaf products, handle objections, and close orders → Manage orders and coordinate deliveries with our operations team → Submit weekly sales reports and market insights every Friday → Represent BeLeaf at Chiang Mai food markets and events when relevant
Who We're Looking For
Non-negotiable:
✅ Active, personal relationships with purchasing contacts at hotels or restaurants in Chiang Mai — you must be able to name at least 3 buyers you can call today
✅ Proven ability to work independently — you don't need to be chased
✅ Price discipline — you can defend quality with a story, not a discount
✅ Based in or regularly present in Chiang Mai or Bangkok
✅ Direct communicator who flags problems early
Strong advantages:
⭐ Prior food or FMCG sales experience in Chiang Mai's or bangkok's F&B market
⭐ Existing contacts at weekend markets (Kad Luang, JJ, Nimman area)
⭐ Basic English for international hotel buyers
⭐ Genuine interest in organic, community-sourced agriculture
We don't require a degree. What matters is your network and your track record of closing.
Compensation
1. Monthly retainer: 5,000 THB/month (part-time, ~15–20 hrs/week)

What Success Looks Like
Representatives who hit Month 3 targets will be first in line for an expanded long-term role covering additional BeLeaf product lines in the next season — including organic rice, tiger beans (GI), sesame, herbs, and high-value crops.
Our Hiring Process
Step 1 — Initial screen: We'll ask one question: "Can you name 2–3 Chiang Mai hotels or restaurants where you know the purchasing contact personally?" If you can answer specifically, we move forward.
Step 2 — Product pitch test: 30-minute in-person meeting. We hand you a sample and ask you to pitch it against resistance. We're looking for composure, curiosity, and the ability to lead with story — not price.
Step 3 — Reference check: We'll contact one buyer you've named — not a personal reference, an actual buyer.
