Prevention
Worker to
join our team
on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to work directly with those in need and contribute to preventing and addressing homelessness in our community.
Contribute to proactive measures that prevent individuals from becoming entrenched in rough sleeping. Support vulnerable individuals by providing practical assistance and guidance. Collaborate with local agencies to ensure a holistic and effective approach in addressing homelessness. Preferred Requirements:
Experience in outreach work or relevant field, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities of homelessness. Ability to build rapport and trust with
diverse
individuals, showing
empathy
and sensitivity to their needs. Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both service users and external stakeholders. A proactive and resilient nature with the ability to manage
challenging
situations with
compassion
and
professionalism
.
Passion for social justice and a commitment to advocating for the homeless community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field. Additional training in mental health first aid or substance abuse support is advantageous. Full UK driving license for travel between locations and to conduct outreach activities.
