Position Summary:
The Rockingham Administrative Coordinator position is the initial contact to partner individuals, families, homeownership program participants, existing homeowners, and the community in Rockingham County. The Rockingham Administrative Coordinator ensures that the Chief Operations Officers and Director of Homeowner Services is fully informed and appropriately engaged in planning and programmatic activities. Coordinates, assists and engages with program and homebuyer events, and community engagement events. Ensures that visitors receive the most effective resource in the department or the affiliate. Coordinates, assists and engages with programs, homeowners, and community engagement events. Develops post-purchase outreach communications and events promoting homeowner success over the life of the mortgage in Rockingham County.
Supervision Received:
The Rockingham Administrative Coordinator works under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years in an administrative assistant role
Ability to multitask
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Prior experience in a similar non-profit organization of same or greater size is preferred
Must have a valid NC driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle, adequate vehicle insurance coverage
Employment offer will be contingent upon passing a criminal background check

Physical / Mental Demands:
This position requires the ability to handle a high amount of stress due to responsibility and accountability for a variety of HHGG administrative duties and tasks. Effectively manages sensitive issues, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and must be able to meet required deadlines for administrative issues when necessary. Must always convey a professional and positive image and attitude regarding HHGG and Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) to internal staff and externally to all stakeholders. Must be able to speak effectively, write well, and have a good command of written and spoken English.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Work is typically performed in an office environment but may require travel on occasion. Requires ability and willingness to work long hours at times and have flexibility towards work schedule to meet the demands of an administrative position.

Serves as primary liaison between Habitat staff and housing partners working within Habitat neighborhoods
Support the homebuyer recruitment and marketing plan with the marketing team
Assist with loan origination compliance as needed
Assist with homeownership applications within regulatory requirements
Maintain electronic filing systems for new homebuyers
Assist with assigned lot selections and pre-construction meetings in Rockingham County
Assure safekeeping, storage, and destruction of Applicant/Homeowner records, files, and computer database input/output
Coordinate and manage information for warranty repairs for homeowners in Rockingham County
Complete monthly communication with home buyers to ensure participant success in Rockingham County
Serves as primary initial reception staff member for Habitat program participants, homeowners, community groups and housing partners, in person, via email, and via telephone
Develop, coordinate, communicate and monitor post-purchase projects/activities to support successful homeownership goals
Assist with community outreach events as needed
Participate in homeownership information sessions as a resource for post-purchase activities in Rockingham County
Maintain a database of resources for homeowners of community agencies and repair suppliers
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including: the ability to write and speak clearly and effectively, an aptitude for listening to and working with others and a capacity to engage, inspire and persuade
Maintain an events calendar, prepare event budgets that meet/exceed goals, handle event logistics, sponsor packets, RSVPs, and registration, and recruit volunteers, where applicable
Serve as the liaison to corporate partners for kick-offs, dedications, and scheduling of volunteer dates
Support Volunteers as needed
Maintain consistent communication with volunteers; coordinate efforts to recognize volunteers for their service, including special event planning for volunteer appreciation and community recognition
Ensure coordination of hospitality at the construction site as needed
Prepare for committee meetings, which includes drafting agendas, gathering and printing all necessary documents, board surveys, and minutes with Chief Operations Officer
Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner
Maintains filing systems as assigned
Performs other related duties as assigned
