JOB SUMMARY AND

QUALIFICATIONS:

The RJ Case Manager Specialist I shall provide case management services with referred individuals and their families while also implementing appropriate restorative justice practices.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field, can be within four (4) months/one semester of obtaining degree; up to three (3) years of experience.

Interest in working with justice-involved and disenfranchised populations is highly desired.

Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated abilities in written reports/business correspondence are required.

Effective oralcommunication skillsto include demonstrated ability of public speaking or presentations to groups.

Proficient with MS Office software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The RJ Case Manager Specialist I will:

Maintain caseload consistent with Alternative to Detention program requirements, restorative justice, and case management processes in the assigned catchment area.

Implement case management processes upon receipt of the referral to include assessment, development of case plan, and monitoring case plan through case closure and discharge.

Maintain a daily contact schedule for each client referred which involves day phone contact and weekly face-to-face meeting while the client is under supervision as an alternative to detention.
