Founded in 2003, Urban Initiatives is a nonprofit organization that runs youth development programs in the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Urban Initiatives’ mission is to use the power of sport and play to empower Chicago’s youth to achieve academic success, develop social-emotional skills, and build social capital. Currently, Urban Initiatives serves an estimated 80 schools throughout the City of Chicago.
Urban Initiatives is seeking an analytical self-starter to coordinate our CSI programming.Are you passionate about community development? Have a knack for administrative and analytical job tasks? Do you enjoy coaching others on how to be successful in their roles? The Resource Coordinator is responsible for managing and expanding out of school time programming for Community School’s Initiative, a nationally recognized and federally funded program in Chicago.
Community Schools Initiative (CSI) Overview
CSI is a federally funded program that utilizes a year-round approach to impact youth, families, and the broader community with comprehensive support in the out of school time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You Possess:
Experience working with multiplecommunicationplatforms:The ideal candidate will be experienced communicating electronically, verbally, and virtually with various stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple projects:The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high-quality work.
Budget management experience:The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing and maintaining a budget.
Teamwork skills:The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to work effectively with others.
Program delivery staff recruitment:The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experiencebuilding relationshipsand/or recruiting community partners for program implementation.

What you would do:
Organizing schedule for out of school time programming
Securing vendors and community partners for implementation
Collaborating with school day teachers to run math and literacy programs
Onboarding and training of out of school time staff
Recruitment of K-8 grade students for program participation
Completion of data entry for attendance and timesheets
Supporting programming instruction
Compensation Package:
Competitive Base salary of $42,000
