Residential Substance Abuse Program Director Jobs in Gadsden, AL at New Centurion, LLC

NewLife for Women is seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Program Director to provide leadership and oversight of our residential substance use treatment program in Gadsden.

This is a key leadership position responsible for the daily operations of the residential program, including staff supervision, clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, program performance, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the women we serve.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of management experience.
  • Must be QSAP-I eligible.
  • Licensure or certification required where applicable.
  • Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based treatment practices.
  • Knowledge of Alabama Department of Mental Health standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.

Position Responsibilities

The Residential Program Director will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director and will be responsible for the overall leadership and daily operation of the residential program. Responsibilities include:

  • Direct and oversee daily residential program operations.
  • Supervise counselors, case managers, peer support specialists, and other program staff.
  • Recruit, interview, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Oversee individualized treatment planning and clinical documentation.
  • Monitor admissions, discharges, transfers, program census, and the active waiting list.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Alabama Department of Mental Health requirements, HIPAA, grant requirements, contracts, and other applicable standards.
  • Participate in licensing, accreditation, and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor program outcomes, quality assurance activities, and key performance indicators.
  • Assist with program budgeting and monitor the efficient use of program resources.
  • Work with finance staff regarding billing, reimbursement, and grant compliance.
  • Ensure required reports are completed accurately and timely.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and recovery-focused environment for both clients and staff.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must meet all other employment and credentialing requirements applicable to the position.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
