Program Specialist Assistant Summary

The Program Specialist Assistant, under supervision of the Program Specialist & Chief Financial & Operations Officer is responsible for assisting with the operation, development, and oversight of individuals’ supports, services, and goals. The Program Specialist Assistant is to apply person-centered practices, promote community integration, compliance, and self-determination for all Emmaus Home Individuals. The Program Specialist Assistant will be well-versed and compliant in ODP Regulations as well as Emmaus Home, Inc. policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position consist of the ability and skills to truly integrate into the Organization and Individuals served and ensure proper Service Delivery in all aspects. Flexibility, accountability, and organization are essential components. Effective communication and task deadline completion is required. Possessing the ability to perform moderate math functions, write, read, assess, and various computer and electronic program skills required. Advanced expressive and receptive language skills are also required in the execution of the responsibilities below. In fulfilling this position, one must be able to be physically present at each home in which assigned individual lives so that on-going involvement, oversight, and support requirements can be achieved. The Program Specialist Assistant is aware of community opportunities, family and relationship dynamics, and all aspects of the Individual served. All the above may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

Act as an appropriate role model and present an acceptable appearance and image when representing the agency.
Ability to work independently based on position description while meeting objectives
Exercise common sense and good judgment in all decision making and contact Executive staff for direction when necessary and required.
Have full knowlede of Community Participation and Integration, Everyday Lives, HCBS Policy, Incident Management, and current ODP practices, philosophies, and Regulations.
Assist in identifying needs and weaknesses of service delivery. Participate in the development of policies and procedures to improve operation of service delivery.
Promote a trusting relationship and remain professional when working with individuals, families, and support staff.
Facilitate and maintain relationships between the Administrative Entity, Supports Coordination Oanization, day programs, medical providers, and other support services.
Avoids biases and conflicts based on personal relationships within the Organization.
Attend and contribute to regulated monthly Administrative Team Meetings.
Attend organization functions, events, and fundraisers as appropriate.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift
8 hour shift
Day shift
Rotating weekends
