Through culturally relevant programs, we uplift individuals, families, veterans, and small businesses, building a stronger and more connected community.Our APHomes Rapid Rehousing Program plays a vital role in this mission by offering transitional housing and comprehensive support to Transition Age Youth (TAY), ages 18-24, as they work toward independence and stability.

We are seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to join our team and provide essential support to TAY participants in this live-in role. This position includes housing at the facility, along with both paid wages and a rental subsidy to recognize the vital contributions you will make to the success of this program.

About the Role

As a Resident Services Coordinator, you will be a key member of the APHomes Rapid Rehousing Program, providing on-site support and helping to guide youth as they transition into independence. You will oversee daily activities, provide emotional support, respond to crises, and facilitate life skills development for residents. In addition, you will collaborate with case managers and community partners to ensure residents have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

Program Objectives

The APHomes Rapid Rehousing Program focuses on three core objectives:
Housing Stability: Provide safe, transitional housing to support TAY participants as they work toward permanent housing solutions.
Supportive Services: Offer case management and tailored support, focusing on education, employment, and essential life skills.
Community Integration: Foster a positive sense of community among residents, offering guidance and creating opportunities for social engagement and peer support.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Daily Operations: Supervise daily activities to ensure a secure, welcoming, and well-managed environment for all residents.
Emotional Support: Offer one-on-one emotional support, helping residents build resilience and navigate personal challenges.
Crisis Management: Effectively respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and provide timely assistance to ensure resident safety and well-being.
Life Skills Facilitation: Assist residents in developing essential life skills, such as managing finances, preparing meals, searching for jobs, and organizing their time.
Program Support: Participate in and support various program activities, including workshops and events that promote personal growth and social development.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and interactions with residents for program transparency and evaluation.
Collaboration: Work with case managers and staff to create individualized support plans that address each resident’s unique needs.
Resource Coordination: Connect residents with critical community resources for counseling, education, job training, and healthcare services.
Community Building: Promote a positive and inclusive community atmosphere by encouraging residents to respect house rules and engage in group activities.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Experience working with youth or in a residential setting is beneficial.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships within a diverse community.
Patience, empathy, and a nonjudgmental approach to working with residents.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with documentation systems.
Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compensation & Benefits

This live-in position offers a unique compensation package designed to support both your professional and personal well-being:
Room and Board: Housing provided at the facility.
Hourly Pay Rate: $21.62/hour (16 hours/week).
Weekly Paid Hours: 16 hours per week.
Rental Subsidy Value: Equivalent to $1,643.12/month (~19 hours/week).
Total Weekly Compensation:
Paid Wages (16 hours): $345.92/week
Rental Subsidy (19 hours): $379.47/week
Total Weekly Compensation: $725.39/week
