Summary
The Director of Rehabilitation, Family Services and Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for rehabilitation services, family support programs, and campus operations. This position is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission by developing integrated rehabilitation and family-centered services while ensuring the facilities, systems, and resources necessary to support high-quality care. The Director oversees rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs; family support services including social work; and campus operational functions including facilities, maintenance, supply chain, safety, and emergency preparedness. This position serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, leads through the principles of high reliability, and works collaboratively to support organizational growth, operational excellence for medically complex children, youth and young adults and their families.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Rehabilitation Services Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership for rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and future therapeutic programs.
- Develop and implement service expansion strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish performance standards, program outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support therapist recruitment, retention, professional development, and supervision through designated clinical leaders.
- Evaluate community needs and identify opportunities for new services and programs.
- Monitor program performance, productivity, and service utilization.
- Provide resident therapeutic services based on licensed expertise on an as needed basis.
- Family Services Leadership
- Provide oversight of social work, life enhancement, and family support services.
- Promote family-centered care and strengthen support systems for children and caregivers.
- Support development of family education, caregiver support, resource navigation, and community-based programs.
- Ensure services address psychosocial, educational, and community resource needs.
- Foster collaboration with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.
- Operations Leadership
- Oversee facilities, maintenance, grounds, supply chain, safety, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Ensure operational systems support organizational goals and service delivery.
- Collaborate with facilities and maintenance personnel to maintain a safe and functional campus environment.
- Provide oversight of organizational safety initiatives and emergency preparedness planning.
- Support infrastructure planning for future program expansion.
- Monitor operational performance, service contracts, and resource utilization.
- Strategic Leadership
- Participate as a member of the organization’s senior leadership team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Support organizational planning and growth efforts.
- Lead assigned projects and organizational improvement initiatives.
- Promote collaboration across departments and programs.
- Develop annual departmental goals, budgets, and performance measures.
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage departmental budgets.
- Monitor expenditures and resource utilization.
- Participate in capital planning and operational forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and program growth.
- Support grant-funded initiatives and program development activities.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and performance management activities.
- Collaborate with the Quality Director regarding risk management, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement processes.
- Support survey readiness and accreditation activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree and state License based on Therapy Specialty (i.e., PT, OT, SLP)
- 4 years’ experience in pediatric healthcare, rehabilitation, developmental disability services,
- 4 years’ experience in healthcare leadership, managing operational growth and service expansion, preferred in nonprofit healthcare
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR
- Must pass a State and Federal Background Check, including fingerprints
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Must maintain current vehicle insurance
- Proof of licensing required vaccinations
- Behavior Management Training within 60 days of hire
- Abuse Prevention Systems Sexual Abuse Awareness Training within 90 days of hire
- Proficient in MS 365
Pay: $135,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year
