YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills and 2+ years of neuro-rehabilitation experience to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at a unique, community-based rehabilitation program serving adults with moderate to severe acquired brain injury and stroke.  

Reporting to the Team Lead, Clinical Rehabilitation, the successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team of therapists, assistants, volunteers, and support staff, as well as the Program Manager.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Implement client programs developed by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists 
  • Facilitate and/or support group rehabilitation sessions, both in-person and virtually 
  • Provide training and ongoing support to volunteers, including summer students and support workers 
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for both clients and volunteers 
  • Organize and coordinate caseloads, including client planning meetings, training, appointments, and maintaining an accurate scheduling calendar 
  • Liaise with therapists, the Team Lead, Clinical Rehabilitation, and the Program Manager to discuss client progress and address any concerns 
  • Report any safety concerns involving clients or equipment to the Team Lead, Clinical Rehabilitation, and/or the Director, Community Rehabilitation and Wellness Programs 
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as responding to client calls or emails, entering chart notes, and completing other tasks as assigned by the Team Lead, Clinical Rehabilitation 
  • Advocate for individuals with brain injuries and support ARBI’s mission by promoting awareness and education within the community and healthcare settings 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Diploma or Degree in a rehabilitation-related field (e.g., Therapy Assistant) required 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in neuro-rehabilitation strongly preferred 
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification 
  • Proficient with technology used for virtual rehab sessions, scheduling, documentation, and team communication (e.g., Microsoft 365, video platforms, charting systems) 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client needs, schedules, and communication streams 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members 
  • Ability to work independently while incorporating direction and feedback from the clinical team 
  • Understanding of professional boundaries and commitment to client confidentiality 
  • Flexible, positive, and collaborative approach to supporting a client-focused rehabilitation environment 
  • Ability to provide a current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search 

Note: This role has the opportunity to be 0.8 FTE until the end of 2026.
