Job Summary
Coordinates and implements the accreditation process in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. Reviews private postsecondary institutions to assure quality training and compliance with accreditation standards. Provides technical assistance to applicants and member institutions on matters related to standards, policies and procedures. Provides assistance to federal and state regulatory agencies.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred
Essential Functions
Organizes, facilitates and participates on team evaluation visits to entities seeking initial or reaccreditation. Edits team visit reports for review and evaluation by the regulatory commission.
Provides assistance to commissioners during Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) Commission meetings. Prepares draft correspondence to institutions consequential to the Commission’s decisions relative to accreditation. Makes travel arrangements.
Assists in conducting Accreditation Workshops for institutions seeking accreditation or reaccreditation. Reviews ACCET standards, policies, procedures, and expectations with institutions. Responds to applications, annual reports, and other documents related to the committee. Reviews and makes recommendations to organizational committee.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
