About Position: The Referrals Coordinator is responsible for tracking the coordination and completion of referrals made by providers across all Community Healthcare Centers. In addition, this individual will acquire prior authorizations, when needed, to facilitate the external referral process. They will also assist patients, when necessary, with coordinating specialist appointments for all sites. Finally, the Referrals Coordinator will track outstanding referrals, request reports from specialists and notify providers of appointments not kept in order to ensure that referrals are resolved within the parameters set out in the referral policy.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm
Travel: As needed
Qualifications –
Education: High school diploma; Associate degree preferred
Current/Valid License: None
Experience: Preferred one to two years working in an outpatient setting. Basic knowledge and understanding of diagnosis and procedure codes. Knowledgeable of registration and medical records process.
Skills necessary to be successful: Strong customer service focus; effective verbal and written communication skills; teamwork orientation; organized and able to manage competing priorities; good judgment; resourcefulness in problem solving; able to take and follow through with delegated tasks and accountability.
Pay Range: $17.66 – $23.74
