Position Overview: The Referral Coordinator will assist patients in obtaining authorizations for and scheduling of needed specialist referrals.
Qualifications:
· Experience in a medical office assisting patients with referrals.
· Knowledge of medical terminology.
· Experience with EHR systems.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
· Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Assist patients in obtaining authorizations for, tracking, and documenting referral submissions.
· Assist patients in scheduling specialist referral appointments.
· Assist patients with questions regarding pending referrals.
· Ensure all documentation regarding referrals is uploaded into the EHR system in a timely manner.
