Pay: $25/hour
Type: Part-Time, Contract (20–30 hours/week) with the opportunity to extend to full-time within the first two months

RiseUP Stars is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing STEAM, sports, wellness, and enrichment programs to over 4,000 students across 80+ public schools throughout California. Our mission is to empower youth and expand opportunities for youth through high-quality after-school programming.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We're looking for a highly organized Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator to manage the complete hiring process for our after-school instructors, from sourcing candidates to onboarding them for their first day in the classroom.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys recruiting, interviewing, building relationships, and keeping multiple hiring pipelines moving efficiently. Our recruitment process is built on proactive outreach, fast communication, and real-time tracking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and recruit qualified instructors through Indeed, referrals, universities, and community organizations.
- Proactively message qualified candidates.
- Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews.
- Schedule interviews and maintain candidate records in Monday.com.
- Complete reference checks and prepare offer letters.
- Coordinate onboarding, background checks, and required employment documentation.
- Schedule instructor training and track onboarding completion.
- Ensure instructors are fully prepared before their first day.
- Provide daily hiring updates and weekly recruitment reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 1–2+ years of recruiting, HR, education, or nonprofit experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Google Workspace and scheduling tools
- Ability to manage multiple candidates simultaneously
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience recruiting educators or after-school staff
- Experience with onboarding and hiring processes
- Monday.com and Indeed Employer experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
SUCCESS METRICS
- Complete 20+ interviews per week
- Maintain accurate hiring tracker
- Ensure 100% onboarding completion before instructors begin teaching
- Deliver weekly hiring reports every Friday
