Position: Job Recruiter – AMIKids Beaufort
POSITION SUMMARY
Job Recruiter supports youth/young adults ages 14-24 in reaching their individualized vocational goals by providing active and ongoing job development, community-based outreach, and partnership development, leading to sustainable employment opportunities for the youth in our care.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Recruit individuals (e.g., youth, participants, employers, and community members) to participate in the AMIkids Workforce Development Program and provide employment opportunities.
Partner with the Career Coordinator to identify placement needs and the best job matches.
Recruit businesses to participate in employment initiatives and educate them about AMIkids services and needs.
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with local and national businesses to build ongoing job placement partnerships, maintaining effective monthly communication.
Develop an ongoing pipeline of job opportunities for youth/participants using resources such as workforce development agencies, meetings, job fairs, and community meetings; educate youth on how to search for relevant jobs.
Understand employer and position qualifications to ensure appropriate job matches.
Follow up on job placements, track success, and obtain feedback from employers on youth progress.
Respond promptly to all business development inquiries.
Monitor and produce monthly reports on placements, satisfaction, and relationships.
Adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws related to youth employment.
Attend and maintain crisis intervention, physical restraint, CPR, and First Aid certifications as required.
MINIMUM
EDUCATION
, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three years of experience in recruitment and community involvement preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
