SUMMARY: The Receptionist is responsible for providing superior customer service to all clients and visitors both in person and over the phone. This is a highly visible and responsible position, which demands an exceptional level of patience in dealing with the public, ability to work effectively in a demanding and fast paced office environment, ability to prioritize and effectively execute concurrent responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Responsibility for the efficient disposition of all personal and telephone contacts to the agency
Answer multi-line telephone system, forwarding calls to appropriate staff
Refer others who need help to other community agencies and resources
Greet clients and other visitors to the agency, asking clients to fill out forms for departments that require them
Give referrals to walk-ins for emergency
Greet guests and communicates with the appropriate department/program so they can meet them at the front desk and then take them to the office
Keep receptionist area and conference rooms organized and running smoothly
Enter case review, satisfaction, training, disaster drills, facility observation checklists and quality of life surveys into survey monkey and excel spreadsheet
Maintain books for case review, satisfaction, training, disaster drills, facility observation checklists and quality of life surveys
Assist Finance, Human Resources, and Administration as directed
Review thrift store daily tape, sales, and deposits
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complies with all applicable training requirements
Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures
Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs
Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team
Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. Mission

Able to speak, write and understand English
Possess basic computer skills

Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening
Valid Florida driver’s license if driving an agency vehicle or a personal vehicle for company business
Must have reliable transportation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Pending on position and if prior to hire is approved by Chief Executive Office, a comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum education qualifications)
At least one year of office experience including switchboard and word processing responsibilities preferably in a social service setting
This position requires a High School diploma or GED certificate
