Job Overview
Vincere Cancer Center is hiring a part-time Radiation Therapist to work under the supervision of a qualified Radiation Oncologist. Looking for an experienced Radiation Therapist who is a highly organized and self-motivated team player possessing strong interpersonal communication, analytical, technical and problem-solving skills. Must have refined computer skills, including word processing, keyboarding, computerized scheduling and EMR. Knowledge of radiation oncology billing. Looking for a very confident, compassionate and respectful professional.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to work proficiently with Varian equipment utilizing the latest treatment techniques including 3D Conformal, IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, and SRS/SBRT.
- Performs daily quality control checks of equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduling.
- Coordinate all aspects of treatment with different departments to include Physician/Physics/Dosimetry.
- Excellent computer skills related to basic office, ARIA record and verify, and EMR.
- Observes radiation safety measures for patients, self, and other personnel.
- Excellent patient care skills—must be able to access a patient’s needs and use good judgment for requesting medical attention.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Works scheduled hours, yet is flexible with schedule to the needs of the clinic. Makes conscientious effort to minimize unscheduled absences.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal relationships with patients and co-workers.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Radiation Therapist:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Experience:
Prefer 1+ years’ work experience using Varian Linear accelerators
GE CT simulation experience
ARIA record and verify experience

Licensure: ARRT (T) registered and current Arizona Licensure in Radiation Therapy mandatory.
Pay: $42.00 – $60.00 per hour
