Role Overview
The Mammography Quality & Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, managing documentation, and supporting quality initiatives within the Breast Imaging department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain records to ensure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Act as primary representative during regulatory inspections and liaise with agencies.
- Oversee QC testing, review recommendations, and educate staff on regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all staff qualifications, licenses, and certifications are current and documented.
- Coordinate accreditation submissions, compile statistical data, and maintain equipment and vendor records.
- Participate in clinical work, research, and quality improvement projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with 4-5 years’ mammography experience preferred.
- Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist and Mammography licenses, ARRT registered.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
- Ability to guide and motivate staff, with good business and analytical acumen.
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing, lifting, and equipment handling.
