Job Overview:
Schedule: Monday & Tuesday & Wed (9:00 AM – 7:00 pm)
We are seeking a dedicated Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory control, stock management, and customer service in a retail setting.
Receives, loads, stores, discards, and distributes donated items in Salvation Army Donation Center and trailers/trucks; maintains and secures all donated items.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all matters pertaining to the operations and security ofthe Donation Center while on duty.
Receives and gives receipts for all donated materials.
Safeguards all donated materials and assigned equipment.
Advises donors of materials which are not acceptable.
Receives and loads donated merchandise into trailers and/or truck. Organizes and packs neatly all donated merchandise onto the trailer or in the donation center.
Evaluates the donated merchandise and maintains the proper storage and protection of the donated merchandise.
Maintains the Donation Center and surrounding area.
Interacts with all donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
Ensures that all donated merchandise is accounted for, secured and processed in accordance with Salvation Army established policies and procedures.
Maintains a positive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner that will establish and promote a professional working relationship with vendors, donors, customers, beneficiaries, co-workers, and management.
Requirements:
Ability to prepare accurate and complete donor receipts.
Ability to interact with donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
Ability to proper load, secure, and account for donated merchandise
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
