Marshmallow’s HOPE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to youth suicide prevention and mental health support. Our Behavioral Health Center provides evidence-based treatment through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices. We offer pro bono counseling, peer mentorship, and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) focused on adolescents with serious mental and emotional disturbances.
We are seeking a compassionate Part-Time Psychiatrist to join our team and provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care for youth and young adults in our programs.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for youth and young adults.
· Develop and implement medication treatment plans in collaboration with therapists and clinical staff.
· Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness.
· Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists, case managers, and peer mentors.
· Support crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed.
· Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and professional standards of care.
Qualifications:
· MD or DO with board certification (or board eligibility) in Psychiatry.
· Licensed to practice in Illinois (or willing to obtain licensure).
· Experience working with adolescents and young adults with mental and emotional disorders.
· Understanding of trauma-informed care and suicide prevention strategies.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills.
· Passion for making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in community mental health or nonprofit settings.
· Knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, and DBT.
· Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Negotiable pay per case
