Protestant Religious Education Coordinator – $18.00-$20.00 Per Hour – Little Rock AFB, AR
The Role
Are you experienced in coordinating faith-based programmes and confident leading a team of volunteers? Do you have a strong foundation in the Protestant Christian faith and a background in religious education? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are looking for a skilled Religious Education Coordinator to lead and develop our Protestant Religious Education (RE) programme.
This is a key leadership role responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing a variety of Protestant Religious Education activities. You’ll work closely with chapel leadership and volunteers to ensure programmes run smoothly and meet the needs of the community.
This is a contracted part-time position working at least 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, advertise, and monitor Protestant RE activities
Support the evaluation and improvement of RE programmes
Recruit, train, and support volunteers for all RE events and activities
Manage logistics such as facilities, supplies, publicity, and transportation
Coordinate the annual RE calendar with chapel staff and programme leaders
Oversee annual events such as Children’s RE, Bible Studies, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and RE Kickoff Picnic
Maintain an up-to-date volunteer list, including roles and training records
Ensure programme areas are properly set up, cleaned, and returned to original condition
The Person
A clear connection to the Protestant Christian faith and a record of active involvement
Competence in religious education, either through academic study (24 credit hours), formal training, or relevant ministry experience (minimum two years)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher
Experience working with volunteers and coordinating events
A professional, friendly manner and strong organisational skills
Willingness to undergo a background check (essential for working with children)
