Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will specialize in crafting compelling donation proposals and fundraising materials. This role involves researching potential donors, writing tailored proposals and grant applications, and aligning messaging with our mission and funding goals. The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, a strategic mindset, and experience in nonprofit development or donor communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Research prospective donors, foundations, and funding opportunities.
Write, edit, and format donation proposals, grant applications, and letters of inquiry.
Collaborate with fundraising, development, and program teams to gather necessary content.
Translate organizational goals and programmatic outcomes into compelling narratives.
Tailor messaging and tone to resonate with diverse donor audiences.
Track proposal deadlines, submissions, and follow-ups using CRM tools or tracking systems.
Ensure proposals meet all submission guidelines, compliance requirements, and deadlines.
Assist with donor stewardship by creating impact reports, updates, and thank-you letters.
Stay informed about fundraising trends, donor behavior, and grant cycles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in proposal writing or nonprofit fundraising.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to tone and structure.
Familiarity with fundraising strategies and donor engagement best practices.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
Experience using donor databases, CRM systems, or grant management software is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes.
Familiarity with donor cultivation strategies and philanthropic language.
Experience with foundations, corporate sponsors, or government funding.
Understanding of nonprofit finance or program budgeting is a bonus.
