Overview
Project Manager Jobs in Los Angeles, CA at BioShift Research Foundation
Project Manager
BioShift Research Foundation
Salary: $70,000–$110,000, depending on experience and skill set
About the Role
BioShift Research Foundation is seeking a highly capable, self-directed Project Manager to help drive our clinical research programs and broader organizational initiatives.
This is not a narrowly defined project management position. We are looking for someone who can ensure that the essential operational details of our clinical trials are handled exceptionally well while also having the initiative to identify problems, develop solutions, and take ownership of new opportunities.
At BioShift, your role can grow with your abilities and ambitions. The right person will have substantial freedom to shape their responsibilities, propose new projects, and lead initiatives that advance our mission.
Core Responsibilities
A central responsibility of this position is managing the operational and logistical work that keeps our clinical research projects moving. This may include:
- Coordinating project timelines, deliverables, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Managing clinical trial logistics and ensuring materials are prepared correctly and on schedule
- Overseeing the preparation and assembly of treatment shipment boxes and related materials
- Developing and coordinating brochures, participant materials, and other project documentation
- Reviewing research datasets for completeness, organization, and quality
- Identifying missing or inconsistent information and working with the appropriate team members to resolve it
- Tracking projects from initiation through completion and making sure important details do not fall through the cracks
- Developing processes and systems that make our research operations more efficient and reliable
- Stepping into other areas of the organization when additional help is needed
The specifics of the position will depend significantly on the person we hire.
If you have expertise or interests that can contribute to BioShift’s work, we want you to use them. Team members are encouraged to identify opportunities, propose new initiatives, and—when appropriate—build and run those projects themselves.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Exceptionally organized and dependable
- Comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for detailed instructions
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Attentive to details without losing sight of the larger objective
- Resourceful and willing to solve unfamiliar problems
- Comfortable working in a dynamic research environment where responsibilities may evolve
- Able to communicate clearly and work effectively with researchers, clinicians, vendors, and other collaborators
- Interested in learning and taking on increasing levels of responsibility
Experience in project management, clinical research, biotechnology, healthcare, research operations, data management, or a related field is valuable, but we are particularly interested in demonstrated ability, judgment, initiative, and execution.
Growth and Ownership
This position has a high ceiling.
Someone who wants to focus primarily on excellent project management can build a meaningful role doing exactly that. Someone who demonstrates the ability and desire to take on more can expand substantially beyond the initial scope of the position.
If you see an important project that BioShift should pursue—and you have the skills and initiative to make it happen—we want to hear the idea. If it makes sense, you may have the opportunity to initiate it, build it, and lead it.
Your capabilities, initiative, and results will ultimately determine the scope of your role and the degree of responsibility you can take on at BioShift.
Compensation
$70,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience, demonstrated capabilities, and the skill set the candidate brings to the organization.
