Role Description
GTL Construction of NJ is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial construction projects throughout Southern New Jersey. This is a full-time role requiring a dynamic individual who can independently manage all aspects of project delivery — from contract execution through closeout — ensuring alignment with client expectations, schedule milestones, financial targets, and GTL’s high standards of quality and safety. The Project Manager will act as the primary client liaison, orchestrate the work of subcontractors and consultants, and drive project success through strategic planning, leadership, and proactive risk management.
Responsibilities
Lead the overall administration, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from pre construction through final completion.
Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor agreements to maintain financial targets and deliver work that meets contractual obligations.
Serve as the principal point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and procurement strategies, identifying critical path activities and ensuring timely delivery.
Oversee and review all project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout deliverables.
Administer risk management strategies, proactively identifying challenges and implementing solutions to protect project outcomes.
Maintain rigorous adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular project reporting, including cost forecasts, schedule updates, and executive summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive accountability and progress.
Champion GTL’s standards of excellence, professionalism, and client service across all assigned projects.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive project management experience within the commercial construction sector (ground-up, renovations, and interior fit-outs).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Strong understanding of construction delivery methods, contract administration, financial controls, and project documentation best practices.
Proficiency with construction management software platforms (such as Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Deep knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards (OSHA 30 certification preferred).
Highly organized with superior time management, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Southern New Jersey.
