The Rotherham Recovery Community is a growing network of individuals and organisations working together to develop Rotherham’s first Recovery Community. The programme includes several strands of work including a co-designed programme of events, grant-funded recovery activities and support groups, as well as a network of lived-experience recovery mentors and champions. Over the next 12 months, this programme will grow and develop towards its goal of becoming a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO).

LEROs help to challenge the stigma often associated with addiction and harness the commitment and energy of people with recovery collateral offering the information, connection and support that maintains recovery.

As Project Co-ordinator, you will support the Rotherham Recovery Community Programme Manager with the co-ordination of grant funded recovery projects, including producing and maintaining up to date information about activities and reporting on project delivery, evaluating impact and financial monitoring.

In addition, you will bring your experience of different involvement and engagement approaches to the role, ensuring the views of a wide range of people, partners and organisations are reflected in the development of this work.

As well as being able to undertake the different duties required, the successful candidate must be able to work alone or as part of a small team, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and have a keen eye for detail and a robust approach to data protection and confidentiality.

Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) is the lead body for supporting, developing and promoting the voluntary and community sector in the Rotherham Borough. Our role is to support and develop effective action to bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities in the local area.

We will review applications as they are submitted and may bring candidates forward for an interview (with reasonable notice) at any time. We may also close this vacancy early if sufficient applications have been received.
