Job Description

Community Clinic is a patient-directed Community Health Center which provides affordable primary health care and supportive services to our neighbors in Northwest Arkansas. Community Health Centers, also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers, is a Federal designation whereby community health needs are identified and are responded to appropriately. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation of a grant awarded to Community Clinic, including administration of program goals, policies, and quality standards, Duties may include some or all of the following: Grants management and program development, on-site compliance monitoring, and financial audits management. Positions are contingent upon specific grant aware/renewal. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p with occasional weekend and nights needed. This position will report to our Springdale Administrative office in in Springdale, AR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implements grant-supported work plans according to the established timeline.
  • Responsible for the development of collaborative community and grant-specified partnerships to share resources and to increase advocate-activity.
  • Plans, promotes and facilitates community-based initiatives for grant supported meetings and events.
  • Manages budget and present regular financial statements to supervisor and CFO.
  • Provides outside evaluators, Community Clinic, and other affected parties with relevant and timely information.
  • Responsible for all grant related reports and benchmarks (monthly, quarterly, and/or annually).
  • Develops message delivery for news media, volunteers, stakeholders and decision makers in accordance with action plans.        
  • May be required to develop/write grants for projects and/or continued funding.  
  • Works effectively with representatives from diverse segments of the population, including multi-cultural interests, to address disparities.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA. 
  • Ensures that Community Clinic will not cause or allow any organizational practice, activity, decision or circumstance which is unlawful, imprudent, and negligent, contrary to mission, vision or policies or in violation of commonly accepted nonprofit or professional ethics.
  • With respect to the treatment of users, our Clinic’s Staff may not cause or allow conditions, procedures, or decisions that are unfair, unsafe, undignified, discriminatory or preferential, or fail to provide appropriate confidentiality.
  • Ensures that Community Clinic protects our IRS tax-exempt status (501(c)(3) at all times.
  • Ability to travel for activities such as meetings, classes, and workshops. Must be able to travel by air as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities, including overnight travel.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to speak to groups of varying sizes.
  • Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds. 
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.
  • Able to perform proficiently on current practice management system and/or electronic medical records.

Required Qualifications

  • HS or Equivalent
  • Familiarity with Public Health is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field such as public health, social sciences or biomedical sciences preferred
  • Successful implementation of Public Health Initiatives or a background in Public Health is desired.
