The Alignment Collective is seeking a Program Lead to oversee daily operations and frontline staff for our proposed Veteran Stability & Connection Program, a community-based suicide prevention program serving Veterans in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The proposed program is a non-clinical, community-based suicide prevention program designed to strengthen the stability, connection, and well-being of Veterans and their families.
Program services are expected to include:
- Outreach and engagement
- Suicide risk and needs screening
- Case management
- Housing and resource navigation
- Employment support
- Benefits navigation
- Peer support
- Transportation coordination
- Social connection and wellness programming
- Community resource coordination
- Warm handoffs to VA and community providers
The program is designed to serve approximately 150 Veterans annually throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, with particular focus on Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Marion, Tillamook, Lincoln, Umatilla, and Clark Counties.

Our organization brings together behavioral health professionals, social workers, wellness practitioners, nonprofit program staff, community partners, and Veteran-serving resources to create accessible and community-centered approaches to care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and day-to-day support to Case Managers, Peer Support Specialists, Employment Specialists, and other frontline program staff.
- Coordinate staff workflows, participant assignments, follow-up activities, and weekly case staffing meetings.
- Support staff in addressing participant needs related to housing, employment, transportation, benefits, social connection, and access to community and VA resources.
- Monitor participant documentation for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with program requirements.
- Conduct routine quality assurance reviews and help address identified documentation, workflow, or compliance concerns.
- Support staff onboarding, training, coaching, and performance improvement.
- Help ensure required screenings, assessments, individualized service plans, referrals, warm handoffs, and follow-up activities are completed appropriately.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager, VA resources, Veteran-serving organizations, and community partners.
- Assist with outcome tracking, data collection, program reporting, and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Support implementation of participant safety, suicide prevention, crisis escalation, and referral procedures.
- This position may require local and regional travel throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington for outreach, partner meetings, trainings, and other program-related activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in direct services, care coordination, case management, or program operations.
- Experience supervising staff, coordinating services, and supporting quality assurance activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Veteran status.
- Experience serving Veterans or military-connected populations.
- Experience with suicide prevention, outreach, participant engagement, or community-based services.

Position Term
Anticipated term: October 1, 2026–September 30, 2027.
This is a limited-duration, grant-funded position. Employment is contingent upon receipt and continued availability of grant funding. The position may be extended if grant funding is renewed or other funding becomes available.

Pay: $67,018.28 – $80,710.19 per year
