Program Development Leader Jobs in Metairie, Louisiana, USA at Families to Freedom

We’re seeking an enthusiastic fundraising professional to procure new sources of funding from corporations, foundations, philanthropic organizations and individuals, and expand our reach for donor support at all levels. Newly secured channels of revenue, giving commitments, and increases in private donations will count towards a fundraising goal.

Core Responsibility

Design and execute a fundraising strategy supporting our transportation programs;

Take the lead on all fundraising initiatives, including major and principal gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, grant application preparation, and special campaigns;

Ensure fundraising policies and best practices are ethical and transparent;

Ensure fundraising messages and delivery elevates our brand;

Submit complete, accurate, and timely progress reports; and

Serve as the principal fundraising advisor to the CEO and leadership team.

Travel: We’re hiring for the best candidate based in either Dallas or Houston. Applicant must already reside in either of these cities. Periodic travel to the other city, and other Texas locations related to fundraising activity, is expected for this role.

Possess a track record of raising funds in a professional capacity.

Have the desire and skills to build external relationships.

Display a strong sense of social skills including having a positive attitude, showing concern for people and community, self-confidence, active listening, and charisma.

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Can present examples of writing style, marketing, and public presentation experience.

Able to give this position full-time attention towards meeting goals and deadlines.

Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve mission.

Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and professionalism.

Compensation: Starts $65,000 salary based on experience and merit; paid semi-monthly; ICHRA health benefits available.

Dress Code: Business attire most days.

Flex Schedule: Business hours most days; some evenings, weekends may be required. Some travel within the state may be needed.

Office: Located in Dallas between Lovefield and Irving. This is not a remote work position. No private office available.

About Families to Freedom:

Families to Freedom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free transportation services to victims and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. We make it possible for victims and new survivors to get far away from abusive relationships. Families to Freedom’s life-saving services include car rides to domestic violence shelters, road trips to family homes in other states, multi-state bus tickets, and fuel assistance to relocate far away.

We serve non-sheltered victims and shelter survivors across North Texas, East Texas and the Gulf Coast. Families to Freedom serves hundreds of victims and children each year, and relies on the generous support of the community to provide these services at no cost to clients.
