Occupational Summary
The Program Coordinator is a full-time position that will proactively partner with MCA fundraisers to plan and coordinate activities driving donor identification, cultivation, and stewardship. The Program Coordinator will organize and actively contribute to the development and management of administrative systems and data collection/dissemination to directly support MCA fundraisers. The Program Coordinator will liaise with a broad community ofadvancement, academic, and administrative teams in support of MCA development goals.
The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Development for MulticulturalAdvancement.
Prospect/Donor Identification, Strategy Development, and Implementation
Identification/
Qualification:Analyzes alumni databases and all relevant Prospect Management (PRMA) tools developed to create prioritized lists of prospects for qualification, including mapping potential prospects to key University (campaign) priorities.
Cultivation:Partners with MCA fundraisers to proactively develop materials to be utilized in donor meetings and materials sent as follow-up to donor/prospect meetings based on the donor/prospects’ specific interests.
Cultivation/Stewardship:Develops and implements plans to maximize connecting prospects through campus and regional events.
Cultivation/Stewardship:Maintains a robust knowledge of university-wide funding priorities and a general knowledge of MCA-focused school and unit funding priorities and develops personalized “touch points” for donors/prospects managed by MCA fundraisers based on prospects’ interest areas.
Solicitation:Collaborates with MCS and school-based officers to produce one-pagers, white papers, and proposals.
Stewardship:Designs and implements individualized prospect stewardship and donor relations plans (inclusiveof written materials, stewardship meeting strategies, etc.) for all donors in the MCA fundraisers’ portfolios.
Cultivation/Solicitation/Stewardship:Plans and implements donors’ campus visits related to board exploration, exploration of philanthropic interests, and stewardship of gifts.
Data Management and Reporting
Using knowledge of the Duke Alumni and Development Database (DADD) and related systems (Enquire, Engage, Tableau), as well as fundraising best practices, the Program Coordinator designs and implements methods to collect, track, and analyze data for the team.
The Program Coordinator consults with the Director of Development to develop and enhance reports that aggregate meaningful data to be shared with the Assistant Vice President and AEDleadership.
In support of the efforts of the Prospect Management, Research, and Analytics department, the Program Coordinator will conduct research to identify philanthropic prospects and engagement activities that inspire involvement and giving fromdiversealumni.
Pan-University Priorities Liaison
In partnership with the Director of Development, serve as a liaison to frontline professionals in Alumni Engagement and Development and schools/units across all of Duke in support of relevant pan-university priorities.
