Job Posting Description
The Program Coordinator I will be responsible for:
Coordinating activities and daily operations of a program.
May be preparing or assisting in the preparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
Conferring with staff and others to provide technical advice, providing problem-solving assistance, and answering questions about the program and its goals. Referring inquiries to others as needed.
May be preparing or assisting in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
May be reviewing program documents in conjunction with supervisor to potentially inform decision making pertaining to the program.
May be assisting in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
Drafting written communication and promotional literature.
May be assisting in planning workshops, meetings, or conferences; coordinating logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.
Interacting and maintaining liaison with staff, faculty, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
Schedule: Fulltime, Hybrid, Monday-Friday. This position is based in Boston, but may occasionally include our other Ophthalmology Offices in Waltham, Needham, and Mass Eye & Ear Boston with advance notice as department or physician need arises.
To qualify, you must have:
Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
1 year of related experience
Ability to communicate effectively and with empathy, both orally and in writing
The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
