The Down Syndrome Association of Central California (DSACC) , founded in 1999, strives to enhance the quality of life for all individuals touched by Down syndrome. We serve families and loved ones with Down syndrome across central California, including Merced, Madera, Mariposa, Fresno, Kings, and Tulare counties. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Program Coordinator to help us advance our mission of empowering individuals with Down syndrome and supporting their families.
This is an on-site, part-time position based in Fresno, CA, with the potential to grow into a full-time role. It’s a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a community-centered environment and wants to make a real impact.
As Program Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in organizing and enhancing DSACC’s programs, coordinating community events, and developing partnerships that support our mission. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and developing meaningful programs that serve individuals with Down syndrome and their families
Coordinating events, workshops, support groups, and fundraising activities
Leading donor cultivation, grant writing, and sponsorship outreach
Tracking program progress and ensuring effective stakeholder communication
Promoting DSACC through social media, newsletters, and community outreach
Supporting the Board of Directors in strategic planning and program execution
Program management and development experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Previous nonprofit experience is a plus
Schedule: Monday–Friday (plus occasional evenings/weekends)
Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Compensation: $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
