Position Summary 

The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating programs, conducting community outreach, and managing volunteer efforts to ensure that underserved youth have access to critical resources. This role involves direct interaction with students and schools as well as building partnerships, mobilizing volunteers, and ensuring effective service delivery. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of assigned programs 

Assist in planning and executing program events, workshops, or meetings 

Monitor program budgets and prepare reports as needed 

Track program outcomes and maintain accurate records and data 

Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants, staff, and stakeholders 

Develop promotional materials and manage program communications 

Ensure program compliance with organizational and regulatory standards 

Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of the program 

Track and maintain participant data and program records, ensuring accurate reporting and evaluation of program outcomes 

Collaborate internally and with community partners to identify service gaps and create solutions to address needs 

Represent Legacies Empowered at community events and advocacy efforts, raising awareness, and expanding partnerships 

Recruit, train, and manage volunteers who will assist in case management, program implementation, and community outreach 

Develop volunteer roles that enhance service delivery, including opportunities for peer mentorship and event facilitation 

Support volunteers in their roles and ensure their contributions are recognized and valued 

 

Qualifications 

2+ years of experience in program coordination, project management, or a related field 

Strong passion for empowering underrepresented communities and working collaboratively with diverse groups. 

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

Ability to work independently and in collaboration with external and internal teams. 

Familiarity with Cleveland’s local resources and support systems. 

Ability to pass a background check and meet required clearances.
