Our client, a private organization at the forefront of neurodegeneration research and health innovation, is seeking a Program Coordinator. This is a three-month contract opportunity supporting a high-impact research and data portfolio, providing program continuity through active project coordination, partner engagement, and contracts and grants management during a defined coverage period.
Location: Seattle/Kirkland, WA – Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Duration: 3 Months (Contract)
Compensation: $50 – $70 per hour.
Additional Compensation: This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.

Summary
This is a hands-on Program Coordinator role supporting a complex, mission-driven neurodegeneration research and data initiative during a defined coverage period. The position is responsible for maintaining momentum across active workstreams while coordinating external partnerships, managing contracts and grants administration, and supporting executive-level program operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day coordination across a neurodegeneration research and data portfolio, ensuring projects remain on schedule and key deliverables are achieved.
- Maintain program documentation including project plans, milestone trackers, risk registers, dependency logs, meeting agendas, meeting notes, and status reports.
- Coordinate meetings and communications with external research partners and stakeholders, preparing materials and documenting outcomes.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, routing, legal coordination, execution, record maintenance, renewals, amendments, and closeout activities.
- Track grants reporting deadlines and coordinate timely submission of required deliverables to funding organizations.
- Prepare and coordinate external communications, including funder reports, newsletters, and program updates.
- Support program leadership with special projects, planning activities, and operational initiatives as needed.
- Maintain organized records and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks while proactively communicating status updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional experience in project coordination, consulting, project management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, including milestone tracking, stakeholder communication, risk management, and project documentation.
- Experience managing contracts and/or grants, including coordination with legal teams, compliance tracking, and lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting executive leadership or mission-driven organizations.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Asana, or Confluence.
- Experience using reporting or data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion while balancing multiple competing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting life sciences, healthcare, biomedical research, or data-sharing initiatives.
- Familiarity with neurodegeneration, neuroscience, or cognitive disease research environments.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or other project management certification.
- Experience supporting nonprofit organizations, advisory boards, or governance committees.
