Program Administrator
The New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA), located in Santa Fe, is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the role of Program Administrator. This position will report directly to the Managing Director, Public Programs, and plays a vital role in supporting NMFA’s public financing and infrastructure programs.
The Program Administrator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day program activities, including the intake and review of applications, eligibility assessment, documentation management, funding recommendations, and ongoing project compliance. This role collaborates closely with local governments, applicants, state agencies, and internal teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of applications and project files, maintaining alignment with established program requirements.
Key duties include assisting with project tracking, reporting, and documentation throughout the lifecycle of assigned programs. The Program Administrator provides consistent administrative and programmatic support, helping to deliver efficient, compliant, and well-documented outcomes for NMFA initiatives. Additional responsibilities involve clarifying missing or incomplete information with applicants, offering guidance on documentation requirements, eligibility criteria, and timelines, and preparing materials for internal review, committee consideration, and Board presentations as needed.
NMFA is committed to fostering economic prosperity and strengthening communities across New Mexico. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, urban or regional planning, finance, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with at least three years of experience supporting grant and loan-funded programs. Experience working in partnership with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and public agencies on community-based projects is highly valued.
