Job Description
Our Neurosurgery clinic at the Plaza is seeking a Procedural Scheduler to join their team! You will split your time between surgery scheduling, prior auths, coordinating OR block time, financial counseling with patients, and helping patients check out and schedule follow-up visits. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, able to adapt in a changing environment with a positive attitude, and provide our patients with exemplary customer service.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. The entire job description is below.
Comprehensively coordinates and manages the scheduling of clinic patients for external testing, procedures, imaging, therapy and referrals to other subspecialty physicians according to orders. Timely obtains preauthorizations from insurance companies for applicable testing, procedures, imaging, therapy or referrals to subspecialty physicians. Provide effective communication to patients regarding appointment and testing instructions and preparations. Efficiently and timely manage all EPIC referral work queues for scheduling of incoming and external patient appointments. Coordinate the follow up testing and appointments for discharged inpatients. Must possess outstanding organization skills, exhibit thorough and disciplined follow through on tasks, be detail-oriented, possess ability to multi task, and be highly customer and patient focused.
