Position Overview

The Print Shop Training Manager leads all hands-on training within Turn90’s screen printing business. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring trainees, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Training Manager plays a vital role in helping justice-involved individuals build technical skills, confidence, and workplace readiness through structured support and accountability.

This is a critical position that combines technical know-how with a passion for coaching and a strong belief in second chances.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Instruction

Deliver hands-on, step-by-step training in screen printing and related skills

Develop and implement individualized training plans to support trainee development

Identify live production jobs that support skill-building, and coordinate with the Production Manager to assign trainees where learning and job needs align

Adjust instruction based on each trainee’s progress and learning style

Mentorship & Coaching

Build supportive relationships with trainees that foster trust and accountability

Provide feedback, encouragement, and corrective coaching throughout training

Support trainees in developing positive workplace habits and professionalism

SOP & Quality Oversight

Ensure all trainees follow SOPs for screen printing. Collaborate with operations and QC lead to support overall shop consistency

Support production quality by monitoring outputs and providing corrective coaching as needed

Collaborate with shop leadership to improve procedures and address training gaps

Collaboration & Operations

Coordinate with the Production & Logistics Manager to align training with production needs

Participate in daily production huddles and coordinate regularly with the Production Manager and QC Lead to align training activities with production needs and job flow

Provide occasional support with production tasks (e.g., press setup) when aligned with training goals but primary focus is on hands-on instruction and trainee development

Help refine training protocols and materials to evolve with the shop’s capabilities

Performance Tracking

Track trainee progress using structured benchmarks

Report on individual performance and training milestones to the Center Director and Production Manager

Qualifications

Required

Experience delivering hands-on training, coaching, or instruction—preferably in a technical, production, or manufacturing setting

Demonstrated ability to follow and teach step-by-step processes with attention to detail

Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds, including those returning from incarceration

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred

Technical experience in a print shop, production floor, or light manufacturing setting

Familiarity with manufacturing environments or job-readiness programs

Experience managing or supervising a team is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on role that requires frequent standing, walking, and light lifting in a production environment. The position takes place in a screen printing shop with moderate noise, machinery, and movement throughout the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8 hour shift
