About the Position Position Description
The preaching minister at Cayuga Christian Church is a servant-leader responsible for sharing the Gospel, shepherding the congregation, and engaging actively with the local community. This role includes developing and preaching sermons, leading Bible studies, overseeing small groups, providing discipleship, and offering pastoral care. The preaching minister collaborates closely with the ministry staff, assists with classes on membership and baptism, and participates in staff and Elder Board meetings.
Additional responsibilities include performing weddings, funerals, counseling, and supporting other ministries as needed. The position involves a balance of in-office and community engagement, with evening and weekend hours expected.
