We extend an invitation to you, a passionate and devoted servant of Christ, to consider answering God’s call to lead and serve at Bethel Lutheran Church. As a congregation deeply rooted in the Lutheran tradition and empowered by the grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we are searching for a pastor who will help us grow in faith, deepen our relationships with God, and actively engage in ministry both within and beyond our community.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Preach the Word with Conviction and Compassion
You will have the privilege of proclaiming God’s Word and administering the Sacraments with faithfulness, in alignment with the Confession of Faith in Article I of our Constitution. Through preaching and leading public worship, you will help us encounter Christ anew every week.
Teach, Equip, and Empower the Congregation
You will be entrusted with the responsibility of teaching the Word of God, equipping both individuals and the entire congregation for ministry, and inspiring us to walk deeper in faith, love, and service. We desire a pastor who will invest in us spiritually and equip us to serve Christ in every area of our lives.
Shepherd the Hearts and Souls of Our Congregation
Withcompassion, you will baptize, confirm, marry, and bury the dead in accordance with the sacred teachings of the Lutheran Church. You will visit the sick, distressed, and shut-ins, offering God’s comfort and care, and provide pastoral counsel to guide us through life’s highs and lows.
Lead Our Youth into a Transformative Relationship with Christ
We seek a pastor who will ignite the hearts of our youth, encouraging their spiritual growth and guiding them toward a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You will work alongside our Youth Director and team to inspire, nurture, and empower young disciples to boldly live out their faith and become leaders in our church and community.
Foster Generosity and Support in Ministry
As we walk together in the mission of Christ, we ask that you encourage and inspire our members to be generous in supporting the ministry of our congregation. Yourleadershipwill inspire the community to live out the love of Christ through their giving, time, and talents.
Engage the Unchurched with the Good News of Jesus
With passion and dedication, you will lead us in evangelism and outreach efforts, guiding us to witness to those in our community who have yet to know Christ as their Savior. We desire a pastor who will actively seek to grow the congregation through outreach, inviting others into the saving grace of Jesus.
Be a Beacon of Christ’s Light in the Community
Your presence in the community will be marked by positivity and service. We’re looking for a pastor who is skilled in connecting with others, whether through outreach programs, volunteering, or being a visible representative of Christ’s love to the people around us.
Lead Us in Worship and Celebration
You will lead us in regular weekly worship services, as well as special services, helping us grow in the awe and reverence of God’s presence. Yourleadershipwill help us celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus in meaningful andimpactfulways.
