Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week with flexibility around recording schedules, occasional evenings, and special events.

Movement is Life (MIL) is seeking a creative, strategic, and collaborative Podcast & Multimedia Producer to lead the planning, production, promotion, and growth of our two flagship podcast series:
- Health Disparities
- Let's Talk About Health
- Programming and Event Promotional Video Development
This is more than an editing position.
We're looking for someone who loves telling meaningful stories, researching emerging topics, identifying compelling guests, creating engaging multimedia content, and helping grow a national platform dedicated to improving women's health and mobility through education, research, advocacy, collaboration, and community engagement.

Movement is Life is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving women's mobility and overall health through education, collaboration, research, advocacy, and community engagement.
We convene healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, community leaders, advocates, and innovators to address some of today's most important conversations affecting women's health and well-being that limit mobility.
Our podcasts serve as national platforms where experts and community voices come together to explore prevention, innovation, leadership, policy, research, and community-driven solutions.
Position Overview
The Podcast & Multimedia Producer will oversee the entire content lifecycle—from concept to publication—for both podcast series while supporting multimedia storytelling across Movement is Life's national initiatives.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Strategy & Impact, this individual will help shape editorial direction, identify timely topics, coordinate guests, produce exceptional audio and video content, develop promotional campaigns, fulfill sponsor activations, and analyze audience engagement. Additionally, this position supports media projects for the summit and national programs.
The ideal candidate combines creativity with strategy, thrives in collaborative environments, welcomes constructive feedback, and enjoys transforming important conversations into compelling multimedia experiences.
What You'll Do
Editorial Strategy & Content Planning
- Partner with leadership to develop the editorial vision for both podcast series.
- Research emerging trends, public policy, women's health topics, and community issues.
- Develop annual and seasonal content calendars.
- Research, Identify, and recruit engaging guests from across healthcare, philanthropy, research, advocacy, business, and community leadership.
- Prepare guest research, interview questions, and host briefing materials.
- Ensure all content aligns with Movement is Life's mission, strategic priorities, and organizational voice.
Podcast & Multimedia Production
- Co-manage podcast production from concept through publication.
- Coordinate guest scheduling and recording logistics.
- Professionally edit audio and video.
- Produce episodes for Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and additional platforms.
- Create:
- Short-form videos
- Social media reels
- Audiograms
- Promotional graphics
- Highlight videos
- Event recap videos
- Maintain organized production files and digital assets.
- Ensure every episode reflects high production quality and accessibility standards.
- Capture multimedia storytelling during national events, community programs, and the Annual Summit.
Audience Growth & Digital Marketing
- Develop marketing campaigns for every episode.
- Write episode titles, descriptions, newsletters, and social media copy.
- Schedule promotional content.
- Monitor audience analytics.
- Recommend new strategies for increasing downloads, subscribers, engagement, and reach.
- Stay informed on podcast and social media trends.
Sponsor Activation
- Coordinate sponsor recognition across podcast episodes and multimedia channels.
- Ensure sponsor deliverables are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate with leadership on creative sponsor integration.
- Identify new multimedia sponsorship opportunities.
Annual Content Planning
The successful candidate will manage an annual production schedule supporting both podcast series.
Expected annual production includes:
- 18–24 podcast episodes each year
- Approximately two episodes per month
- Strategic use of:
- Rewind episodes
- Compilation episodes
- Best-of collections
- Evergreen content
The goal is to maintain a consistent publishing schedule while allowing flexibility around holidays, conferences, and organizational priorities.
Annual Summit Production
The Movement is Life Annual Summit is our largest annual content creation opportunity.
The Podcast & Multimedia Producer will:
- Coordinate an on-site podcast recording space.
- Record approximately 8-10 interviews with keynote speakers, researchers, community leaders, sponsors, and innovators.
- Capture additional video content throughout the Summit.
- Edit and schedule these interviews for release throughout the holiday season, ensuring a steady stream of content while leadership develops programming for the new year.

You'll serve as a trusted creative partner with the Executive Director and Director of Strategy & Impact by:
- Participating in content planning meetings.
- Bringing fresh ideas to expand our multimedia presence.
- Collaborating across departments.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Receiving and incorporating feedback professionally.
- Supporting Movement is Life's mission through innovative storytelling.
Qualifications Required
- Three or more years producing podcasts or multimedia content.
- Experience managing podcast production from planning through publication.
- Proficiency with tools such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Audition
- Descript
- Riverside
- Final Cut Pro
- or similar platforms.
- Strong storytelling and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience producing engaging social media content.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with leadership.
Preferred
- Experience working with nonprofits or mission-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of women's health, healthcare, research, or community engagement.
- Experience growing podcast audiences.
- Familiarity with YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Experience managing sponsorship activations or branded partnerships.
Equipment
Movement is Life currently has limited podcast equipment available.
The successful candidate should be comfortable:
- Assessing current production capabilities.
- Recommending equipment upgrades.
- Working with leadership to develop a cost-effective production setup.
Experience using professional microphones, audio interfaces, cameras, lighting, and remote recording platforms is preferred.
Equipment needs may be discussed as part of the contract agreement.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first year, you will:
- Produce 18–24 high-quality podcast episodes across both series.
- Maintain a consistent publishing schedule averaging two episodes each month.
- Successfully record and produce 6–8 Annual Summit interviews for year-end content.
- Build an evergreen content library that supports scheduling flexibility.
- Increase downloads, subscribers, video views, and audience engagement.
- Deliver compelling multimedia stories that elevate Movement is Life's national programs and thought leadership.
- Execute sponsor activations successfully.
- Become a trusted creative partner to organizational leadership.
- Help establish Health Disparities and Let's Talk About Health as premier national multimedia platforms focused on advancing conversations that improve women's health.
