Role Description

The Placement Coordinator is a full time Hybrid position based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for connecting program graduates with employment opportunities in the construction industry, including identifying hiring needs, matching candidates to roles, and facilitating interviews and job offers. The Placement Coordinator will build and maintain relationships with employers, attend industry events, and coordinate with training staff to understand participant skills and readiness. Day-to-day tasks include tracking placement outcomes, maintaining accurate records, providing career coaching to participants, and reporting on job placement metrics to internal stakeholders. The role also supports continuous improvement of placement processes by gathering feedback from employers and graduates and collaborating with colleagues to enhance employer engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Employer Engagement & Hiring Fair Participation (60%)

  • Recruit employers to attend Construction Ready Hiring Fairs.
  • Maintain a pipeline of active hiring employers.
  • Conduct employer outreach via calls, site visits, and networking events.
  • Develop relationships with industry partners and subcontractors.
  • Ensure every hiring event has sufficient employer representation.
  • Track employer commitments and attendance.

Lunch & Learn Coordination (25%)

  • Secure employer participation for weekly Lunch & Learn sessions.
  • Coordinate schedules, presentations, and employer speakers.
  • Introduce students to career pathways and hiring opportunities.
  • Maintain a rotating calendar of employer partners for all cohorts.

Placement Support & Employer Retention (15%)

  • Work closely with Career Coach & Admissions staff to support placement.
  • Follow up with employers regarding hiring outcomes.
  • Gather employer feedback on graduate performance.
  • Increase repeat hiring activity among employer partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience in job placement, talent acquisition, or career services preferably within skilled trades industries.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities with employers, and community partners.
  • Excellent communication, interviewing, and coaching skills to support diverse job seekers in achieving successful placement.
  • Organizational and data management skills for tracking placements, maintaining reports, and using CRM or applicant tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of the construction sector, entry-level roles, and employer expectations is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equitable access to careers and the mission of supporting skilled trades as viable career paths.
  • Ability to work on-site across the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, including occasional travel to partner locations and events.
  • Relevant education or training in human resources, workforce development, counseling, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay: $48,000.00 – $61,000.00 per year
