Job Description:
Heal the City Free Clinic is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations and support safe, compliant medication dispensing for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow.
- Ensure accurate dispensing and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff and volunteers.
- Coordinate with providers, clinic leadership, and medication assistance staff.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and medication storage.
- Support patient access to free medications and pharmacy services.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered pharmacy environment.
- This position will also coordinate with medication assistance programs, including Direct Relief, Dispensary of Hope, and other pharmacy access partners, to support patient medication availability and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
- Experience in pharmacy leadership, management, or PIC responsibilities preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to serving underserved patients and supporting a nonprofit mission.
Preferred Experience:
- Community pharmacy, clinic pharmacy, or nonprofit healthcare experience.
- Experience with medication access programs and patient assistance coordination.
- Familiarity with compliance, inventory management, and pharmacy documentation.
Schedule and Setting:
- Full-time position.
- In-person role in Amarillo, Texas.
- Work within a mission-driven free clinic setting.
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience.
