Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple nonprofit entities using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
- Maintain payroll records including earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings
- Review and verify timesheets, leave balances, and payroll changes for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll-related accounts
- Coordinate payroll tax filings and year-end reporting, including W-2s and related compliance filings
- Respond to employee payroll questions and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy
- Assist with grant reporting and tracking of program expenditures
- Prepare sales tax, property tax, quarterly filings, and other required regulatory reports
- Maintain financial documentation in accordance with nonprofit accounting and audit standards
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN) strongly preferred at least 2 years
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Experience with multi-entity accounting environments preferred
- Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay Details: $67,000.00 to $76,000.00 per year
