An international nonprofit is seeking to hire a Payroll Administrator in their (Hybrid, 2 on-site days/week) NYC office. The organization is highly reputable, consistently ranked as a top nonprofit and recognized as one of the world’s largest private philanthropic funds.
The Payroll Administrator reports into the Global Payroll Manager and is responsible for ensuring a standardized payroll process is followed across multiple locations and executed on time. This is a senior level role requiring strong technical skills and prior knowledge of payroll best practices.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of six years managing a U.S. payroll
Workday experience is required
An understanding of more advanced payroll functions such as audit, reporting, and account reconciliations
Experience working with an outsourced payroll vendor
Experience working within organizations of over 1000 employees
Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring accurate data is processed in Workday or the provider’s payroll processing system for the U.S.
Responsible for preparing various accounting papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries for audit and compliance for the U.S.
Conduct accounts reconciliation with support for the U.S.
Responsible for adhering to the payroll calendar for the U.S. and ensuring it is communicated to the employees
Responsible for working with the payroll provider and ensuring that labor and tax obligations are fulfilled and is compliant
Work with the payroll provider to ensure payroll for the U.S. is delivered efficiently and effectively and as per agreed service level agreements
Respond to employee queries in Workday help regarding the payroll /payslips for the U.S. within the agreed service level timelines
Prepare and maintain FAQ and knowledge articles for
Workday Help for payroll and promote employee self-service for basic queries
