Role: Patient Account Registrar, also known as Hospital Admission Representative, responsible for collecting and verifying patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are correctly obtained.
Key Duties
- Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance data.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizations.
- Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients across all age groups using age-appropriate techniques.
- Support Admitting department operations, including reception and PBX functions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous hospital experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service experience required.
Work Environment: Full-time, night shifts (12-hour shifts, Wednesday to Friday, no weekends), located at a hospital facility.
