Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the pastor will be to faithfully preach and teach the Word of God. We are looking for someone who can rightly divide the Word of truth, provide sound theological instruction, and apply biblical principles to the lives of our congregation.
Our pastor will also have shared responsibility, with the presiding elders, for providing pastoral care to our members. This includes counseling, visitation, and supporting individuals and families in their spiritual growth. We desire a pastor who is compassionate, approachable, and able to shepherd the flock with wisdom and grace.
As a mission church, we need a pastor who can provide strong leadership and articulate a clear vision for our future. This involves working with the church leadership team to develop healing, strengthening, and through the Holy Spirit’s work in and through the word preached, we will engage in community with the gospel.
Position
Qualifications:
We are presently seeking a pastor with a strong Reformed theological background who aligns with our doctrinal standards and is dedicated to the mission and vision of our church.
Given the nature of our current circumstances, this position is not expected to be the primary source of income for the pastor. We welcome candidates who are financially self-sufficient or are willing to be bi-vocational.
