Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry – Kenmore Alliance Church, Tonawanda, NY
Job Title:Pastor/Director of Youth Ministry
PurposeStatement:
To creatively engage the hearts of the next generation. To discern God’s vision for the student ministry and implement a discipleship strategy to fulfill that vision in cooperation with the Lead Pastor and the Elder-Oversight Board.
Reports to:Lead Pastor
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of ministry experience (preferably with students)
Strong computer and organizational skills
Strongcommunicationskills, both written and verbal
A prayerful, servant leader, team player and encourager
Undergraduate Degree (preferably ministry related)
Strong understanding the Bible and the principles Jesus taught
Licensed or ordained, or willing to pursue being licensed or ordained, within the Christian & Missionary Alliance
Responsibilities:
Oversee ministries pertaining to Middle School (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) including but not limited to Bible Studies, Small Groups, Youth Group, retreats, camps, etc.
Potential to participate in or oversee college ministry
Plan, support, and facilitate all youth programs, activities and events
Maintain records and registrations for student ministry
Maintain youth events on church calendar
Steward the youth ministry budget
Partner with parents
Partner with staff ministry leaders to provide a cohesive ministry calendar
Train, recruit, and lead a team of volunteers and ensure adherence to our Plan to Protect(tm) policy
Other duties as needed
Pay:$45,000-$60,000 / year
