Requirements:
To be called by God
3-4 years of theological education and training, M.Div preferred
3-5 years minimum ministry experience ideally as a solo or senior pastor
Basic counselling skills
Responsibilities:
1. To reflect the values and pursue the mission of Zion Baptist Church;
2. To preach/teach the Word of God through weekly sermons.
3. Serve as ex-officio member on all boards and committees of the church;
4. Work in close harmony with the board and ministry leaders to develop vision, mission, strategic planning and outreach opportunities;
5. Disciple and shepherd congregants and church leaders to help them pursue growth and leadership development;
6. To represent Zion Baptist Church in the community of Terrace, the British Columbia Baptist Association, the Terrace Ministerial and the general public;
7. Maintain relationships with commercial neighbours, and community organizations such as the food bank and shelters;
8. To fulfill other responsibilities as agreed to in cooperation with the board, including but not limited to weddings, funerals and basic counselling needs.

A personal and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ
Commitment to the study of the Word and prayer
Fulfill the biblical qualifications for leadership
A commitment to the Statement of Beliefs of the BCBA
Passion for evangelism
Focus on discipleship and spiritual growth
Commitment to fostering and maintaining relationships
Effective communication skills
Self-motivator
Innovative/creative
Computer literate
Remuneration to be negotiated with level of experience.
