About Us
The International Network of Women in Estonia (IWNE) is a dynamic and inclusive community that advocates for gender equality, diversity, integration, and women’s empowerment. We envision a world where every woman—regardless of nationality or background—can thrive and reach her full potential.
Becoming part of IWNE means joining a movement that celebrates multiculturalism and works tirelessly to build an equitable society for all women.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced volunteer to join us as a Partnership and Donors Expert. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about women’s rights and international development, who has experience in institutional fundraising, donor research, and partnership building.
As IWNE volunteer, you will become an active member of IWNE and work closely with our small but passionate multicultural team to identify and map potential donors and partners that align with our mission and goals. Your work will directly support our efforts to secure the resources we need to grow and sustain our programs.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Mapping
Conduct targeted research to identify prospective donors (foundations, government agencies, corporations, individual philanthropists) that support gender equality, diversity, and women’s empowerment.
Map potential partnerships with like-minded organizations, networks, and businesses—locally and globally.
Create and maintain a well-organized database of donor and partner profiles, including contact details, focus areas, and funding cycles.
Strategy & Analysis
Assess how well potential donors and partners align with IWNE’s mission, programs, and vision.
Propose tailored strategies for outreach and engagement, including timelines and action plans.
Present insights and recommendations to the leadership team to inform fundraising and partnership efforts.
Relationship Support
Assist with drafting outreach materials such as concept notes, letters of intent, and pitch decks.
Track and document communications with potential donors and partners, supporting timely follow-ups.
Team Collaboration
Work alongside our fundraising, communications, and program teams to ensure alignment across IWNE’s priorities and strategies.
What We’re Looking For
Some prior experience in donor research, institutional fundraising, or partnerships (ideally within a nonprofit, NGO, or international development context).
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to transform information into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English. Knowledge of Estonian or other European languages is a bonus.
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
A strong interest in gender equality, intersectionality, and women’s rights.
What You’ll Gain
Be part of an international, purpose-driven community working towards meaningful change.
Apply and grow your knowledge in donor engagement and nonprofit fundraising in a real-world setting.
Flexible remote work schedule and opportunities for mentorship and collaboration.
Become an active member of IWNE and contribute your voice, skills, and vision to a growing network of changemakers.
